Wow...what fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! finished in 48:10 which was 27 minutes faster than I thought I could do!!!! GO ME!!!!! now I have to work on at least 15 minute miles for the Jingle Bell run in Chicago!!!
Was a perfect day for a run ( even though Jayhawk told me my clothes were all wrong....we're going shopping tomorrow for runniung wear for mom....I thought what I picked out was CUTE but she said cute doesn't count)!! We even ran a fairly good portion of the 5K and I am really looking forward to Chicago!
I sprinted over the finish line before hubby but we ended up with the exact same time (that was a bummer)!!! Jayhawk and oosg both had personal best and was such fun to watch them finish....much more fun than Chicago this year.........on my way to bigger & better things......Granmommy to 5 precious little ones and Phog!!!!!

YAY! Go Barb's Mom!!
Did you know that you were 9/17 in your division? THAT is quite impressive. :)
Keep it up, mom!
ps...I'm almost halfway done with the book. It's another one you should read. Totally awesome, inspirational and great for beginners. :)
congrats! So excited that you are getting into the race "scene." My father has declared he wants to walk a 100 mile race. Be careful which events your daughter lets you go spectate or participate in lest you get the marathon/ultra bug too!
Good for you! It is fun, isn't it? You should be very proud of yourself. Keep it up and have fun getting ready for your next one.
I just realized...Wrigley gets no love from you. Come to think of it, we've received plenty of dog toys from you over the years...but nothing for the cat!
He must be the red-headed step-child.
What a great run! It was fun to meet you at the KC Marathon expo. I'll look forward to seeing you again at other races. Have fun with the blogging and running.
Personally, I think "cute" counts when it comes to running wear.
Of course, this is coming from someone who wears running skirts in all her races. :)
Congrats on your first race.
I definately agree that you need the right clothes though! Any excuse to shop, right?
